Enjoy a holistic retreat, intentionally curated to support your transformation and growth with various movement, breathing and meditation practices, hiking and plant based wholesome meals.

Retreats offer the space to reconnect to oneself, outside of the daily roles and duties we each hold. They are an opportunity to reflect, recharge and realign from the inside, out.

Each retreat has it’s own unique theme which threads in the Universal teachings of Spirit in relevant and practical ways throughout the program, while at the same time allowing space for you to create your dream week. While the program provides plenty of time for deep rest, we encourage connection through family style meals and group activities that bring together community.

My Island Retreats will leave you feeling relaxed, revitalised and reconnected to what matters most, as well as grounded and open within the body, mind and heart.

 THE VENUE

Our beautiful six bedroom villa plays host to both our own retreats and is available to hire for other private retreats throughout the year. In the summer months we also make the property available to rent for peaceful family holidays.

Owned by the same family for more than 50 years, Can Almaria has been lovingly restored with blissful outside space and gardens. Situated in the heart of Ibiza, it’s 5 minutes from the village of San Rafael, with south facing views and includes two swimming pools, flood-lit tennis court, a yoga deck and yurt.

The villa is a modern yet traditionally constructed home in a cosy rural setting. It’s luxurious and spacious, and hidden from view, enclosed by tall cypress trees and surrounded by sloping verdant grounds, which include a field and a fruit orchard.

The interior space is simple yet sophisticated with stucco walls and exposed driftwood ceiling beams, boasting large bedrooms and cozy living spaces.

The exterior invites traditional outdoor Mediterranean living with a large veranda and dining terrace, pool and state of the art gardens. The yoga deck overlooks the campo and is perfect for breathing in the wild flowers and fresh salty island air.

We believe food is one of the gateways into healing the body.

We also know it is one of the best ways to celebrate life!

Our chefs lovingly prepare meals that are healthy and wholesome, using as much local and seasonal produce as possible.

Served family style on the outdoor table, overlooking the gardens and countryside, meals are a time of connection and pleasure.

The abundance of sunshine on the island inspires our meals and is reflected back through the vibrancy of color, taste and life.

 THE YOGA

Yoga is an amazing gateway to reconnect to the Self and takes us on a journey to the inner landscape of the heart. In many spiritual traditions, the energetic heart is recognised as our place of inner light — the space of wisdom, love, joy and power. The path of yoga is a remembrance of the light we each hold, and gives us the foundation to rise up and share our authenticity more freely and fully with the world.

The physical practices of the Asana work to align the body by creating joint stability and enhancing mobility to circulate more breath and Prana (energy) throughout the entire system.

The subtle practices of Pranayama and Meditation help to create a steadiness in the mind, cultivating more awareness and refining our focus to bring more presence and calm.

The philosophy brings ancient yet relevant concepts to further integrate spirituality in practical and accessible ways. The teachings are here to be embodied in a personal and authentic way.

Each session in the retreat is carefully curated to progressively guide you further into the theme with deep reverence, care and nourishment. All levels are welcome and modifications are given when necessary to support any limitations. Remember, if you can breathe, you can do yoga!

Frequently Asked Questions

I am a beginner at yoga, can I join?

Yes! We have many beginners book on our retreats and all levels of experience are welcome. Our teachers provide modifications and offer individualised attention where needed.

I am traveling alone, can I share a room?

Yes, it’s possible to share a twin bedroom. We typically pair guests together based on suitability and sleeping rhythms.

Do I have to participate in the entire program?

We have curated an intentional program that aims to support both individual and collective growth of the group, so we encourage you to join, however it’s your holiday and we respect if you choose to leave out certain sessions throughout the week.

How can I prepare myself best for the retreat?

The food is plant based, nourishing and as balanced as possible with natural sugars. To support your body in cleansing we recommend you cut out caffeine and refined sugars 5-7 days before arrival. We will support you with this process if this is something you would like to experience.

Taking time and space from your roles and responsibilities is one of the best aspects you can gift to yourself. We encourage you to complete any pieces of work before arriving so you can be fully present to your retreat experience.

How do I get from the airport to the retreat villa?

Can Almaria is conveniently located 10 minutes from IBZ Airport. There’s a taxi rank outside arrivals available at all hours, however we can also pre-arrange a taxi if you prefer.

Does it matter what time I arrive on the first day?

We encourage you to arrive by the opening circle, however we are fine with later arrivals depending on your schedule and needs.

Do I need to hire a car?

The villa is situated in the quiet campo which provides a space for deep relaxation and restoration. If you would like to explore the island during the free afternoons we recommend you hire a rental car. Check out doyouspain.com for the most affordable rates.
